Intergroup

Rockland County Intergroup is a typical intergroup organization which has responsibility for much of the nuts and bolts operation of A.A. at the county level.

The most important function of Intergroup is ensuring the alcoholic who still suffers can find help when desired.  As such, Intergroup maintains and regularly prints meeting lists, maintains this web site, and manages the county hotline for Alcoholics Anonymous.

Rockland County Intergroup meets on the first Tuesday of every month at St. Stephens Church, 84 Ehrhardt Road and Pearce Pkwy, Pearl River and virtually at 8:00 pm.  Visit the calendar for meeting information. All Rockland County Groups are encouraged to send a representative to the meetings and to become involved with Intergroup service committees.

General Service

General Service is the organization responsible for maintaining the vital connection between our Home Groups and A.A. as a whole.

The most important function of the General Service organization is to enable the inverse pyramid that is so unique to A.A., ensuring that the voices of each group are carried to the higher levels which eventually lead to decisions that are carried out by the World Services of A.A.

Rockland County General Service meets on the third Wednesday of every month virtually at 7:30 pm.  All Rockland County groups are encouraged to send a representative to the meetings and to become involved in General Service committees.  Visit the calendar for access information.
